8

:

powerful and authentic way.

9

:

If you're ready to grow in your faith, you just happen to be in the right place.

10

:

Alright, let's dive in.

11

:

The gift of wisdom is one of the nine spiritual gifts listed by the apostle Paul in 1st

Corinthians chapter 12 verses 8 to 10.

12

:

It is a supernatural endowment from the Holy Spirit that enables believers to apply divine

knowledge to specific circumstances.

13

:

Unlike earthly wisdom which is based on human experience or intellect, the gift of wisdom

is rooted in God's perspective, offering insight that transcends natural understanding.

14

:

This spiritual gift plays a vital role in the life of the church, providing guidance,

discernment, and direction in both personal and collective matters.

15

:

In 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 8, Paul writes,

16

:

to one there is given through the spirit the message of wisdom.

17

:

This type of wisdom is not acquired through study or experience, but it is a direct

revelation from the Holy Spirit.

18

:

is a word or message of wisdom that comes as a supernatural insight, often for a

particular decision or situation.

19

:

This wisdom reflects God's mind and purpose helping believers make decisions that align

with his will.

20

:

The concept of wisdom in scripture is deeply tied to the character and nature of God.

21

:

Proverbs chapter 9 verse 10 declares, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,

emphasizing that the true wisdom begins with reverence for God.

22

:

James chapter 1 verse 5 further encourages believers to

23

:

Ask God for wisdom, promising that He will give it generously.

24

:

The wisdom gifted by the Holy Spirit empowers believers to think, speak, and act in ways

that reflect God's divine insight.

25

:

The gift of wisdom can manifest in various ways, often in moments when critical decisions

need to be made or when navigating complex situations.

26

:

Below are three ways the gift of wisdom may operate.

27

:

1.

28

:

Guidance and Leadership Church leaders often rely on the gift of wisdom to make decisions

that affect the body of Christ.

29

:

For instance, in Acts chapter 6, when the early church is faced with challenges in

distributing food to widows, the apostles use wisdom to appoint deacons, ensuring fair

30

:

distribution and unity in the church.

31

:

The Holy Spirit provided them with the wisdom to maintain integrity of their ministry

while

32

:

addressing a practical need.

33

:

2.

34

:

Problem Solving The gift of wisdom is especially helpful in solving disputes or conflicts.

35

:

In 1 Kings 3, 16 -28, King Solomon demonstrated extraordinary wisdom when he resolved the

dispute between two women claiming to be the mother of the same child.

36

:

This biblical example illustrates how the gift of wisdom can bring clarity

37

:

to difficult situations, revealing a solution that would not be apparent through human

reasoning alone.

38

:

And number three, counseling and encouragement.

39

:

Those with the gift of wisdom are often able to provide profound counsel to others,

helping individuals navigate personal challenges or spiritual dilemmas.

40

:

This form of wisdom is practical and provides steps toward growth.

41

:

healing or understanding.

42

:

It comes not only as advice but as divinely inspired guidance that helps others see their

circumstances from God's perspective.

43

:

The gift of wisdom often works hand in hand with other spiritual gifts such as the gifts

of knowledge, prophecy, and discernment.

44

:

While the word of knowledge involves knowing facts or truths supernaturally revealed by

God,

45

:

The gift of wisdom involves applying those truths in a godly and effective manner.

46

:

For instance, someone with the gift of knowledge might be aware of a particular challenge

a church is facing, but the person with the gift of would know how to respond or lead the

47

:

church through that challenge.

48

:

Similarly, wisdom enhances the gift of discernment

49

:

by providing clarity on how to act in the presence of various spiritual forces or

influences.

50

:

A person may discern spiritual activity, but it is wisdom that guides them in responding

in a way that honors God and brings peace to the situation.

51

:

The gift of wisdom is crucial for the spiritual health and maturity of the Church.

52

:

It builds up the body of Christ by

53

:

ensuring that decisions are made in alignment with God's will.

54

:

Wise leadership prevents division and confusion, promoting unity and understanding.

55

:

In a practical sense, the gift of wisdom helps believers avoid mistakes that might stem

from relying on their own judgment.

56

:

provides divine direction, ensuring that the choices made are beneficial for the

individual

57

:

the Church and the advancement of God's Kingdom as a whole.

58

:

When believers use this gift, they reflect the mind of Christ and display godly character

in all situations.

59

:

The gift of wisdom as outlined in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 is a powerful and necessary

gift for the body of Christ.

60

:

It transcends that human understanding, offering the divine guidance that is essential for

navigating complex situations.

61

:

making decisions and solving problems.

62

:

Whether in church, leadership, personal decision making or everyday life, the gift of

wisdom enables believers to act with God's insight, revealing His will and purpose.

63

:

This spiritual gift, when used correctly, leads to godly outcomes, enhances unity and

fosters that spiritual growth within the church.

64

:

Ultimately, the gift of wisdom

65

:

reminds us that true wisdom comes from God and through His Spirit, He generously equips

His people to walk in it.

66

:

The practical use of the word of wisdom can be explained through a recent live stream that

I had here on the Authentic Podcast.

67

:

While praying for viewers and their needs that they're currently going through, which were

physical, emotional, and spiritual, we were seeing breakthrough, people getting healed and

68

:

set free and delivered and guided.

69

:

and awesome, awesome wisdom.

70

:

And one person wrote, they said, pray for me.

71

:

I believe that I am being held back by a spirit of pause or a spirit of, of like just a

holding back the spirit that is trying to hold them back from growing.

72

:

And immediately in my spirit, I felt as if that was God that was actually holding them

back, that there were things that needed to come into alignment.

73

:

And you know, as they believe that life was going on and was continuing on, they were

actually being held back here.

74

:

God showed me it was like an arrow being pulled back.

75

:

And as they got certain things into alignment, they were getting ready to get launched.

76

:

So the demonic was trying to lie to her and our natural flesh was trying to lie to her and

say, Hey, you're being held back.

77

:

There's a demonic spirit at play here.

78

:

But godly wisdom came in and said, Hey,

79

:

God's the one holding you back.

80

:

There's a couple of things he's putting into alignment, but look out, once that happens,

he is going to launch you.

81

:

And their response was, wow, I feel so much peace.

82

:

I feel so much better now that you have spoken that because the lie was replaced with the

truth.

83

:

And this is the spirit of wisdom in action.
